Listing Saturday:: Reasons to slow down and really enjoy the holidays

1) No matter how much you do, you'll never really be ready for Christmas.

Slow down.

2) What would you rather have:: time for family and friends or the house immaculate and presents wrapped like on Pinterest?

Think about this.

3) We don't when our last Christmas will be or when you will all be gathered together again.

This is a fact.

4) Why be stressed and upset about the small things.

When you were a kid, did you stress about Christmas?

5) So many times, we don't enjoy the holidays.

You make the choice.  You can do it!

Pinterest, Foot Soak, FAIL!!!

The idea was good.
Soak your feet for 10-20 minutes in a mixture of Listerine and vinegar.
I saw this  recipe on Pinterest.

So, I mixed up the vinegar and Listerine,
and
I soaked for almost 15 minutes.

I took my feet out to see that they had turned - green!
If you saw this post on Facebook, you will also notice all the comments and suggestions.
It was funny.
So, I went to bed hoping that the color would sink in and just disappear.

When I got up, I still had the smurf feet.
After a shower and much scrubbing,
my feet are less green,
but they are still green.

I did find out that I was supposed to add water to the mix.
I forgot that.
Ooooops!
So, this was my Pinterest failure!

Well, I fell asleep and took a nap, then I realized, I hadn't written a blog post, so here it is, with a question....

(If you want to see my "eye" bead, click
HERE!)

That's not the question.  That's just a way to get you to look at my bead!!!  :)

My question is this:  When you see a bead or whatever as you peruse Etsy, Pinterest, Facebook, whatever site you use,
do you ever share or Pin that item?

I read somewhere, and I don't think I've ever done this, that if you want comments on your blog, ask for them.  If you want someone to Pin an item of yours, ask.  You get the idea.  The writer said, if you don't ask, it won't happen.  So, I guess I'll ask my question again and ask you to leave a comment on my blog about it.

When you see a bead or whatever as you peruse Etsy, Pinterest, Facebook, whatever site you use,
do you ever share or Pin that item?

I'd really love to hear what you think.

Oh, and, if you feel the urge, feel free to share any of my work.
Also, feel free to Pin it on Pinterest.  Etsy makes it easy to pin work.  There's a button on the item page that says, "Pin it."

Here's the link to my Etsy store:  Rosebud101

Feel free to share and Pin away!!!  You can even share this blog!!!

So one day, I was browing Pinterest..

and I found a photo with the caption
Make a Sharpie Mug
Hmmmmmmmm, I wondered.

I wish I could show you the photo, but it didn't work, so
for the photo and tutorial.
It's the first one.

I went looking for a mug.
Luckily, the thrift store had a huge sale on everything in the store--
Two for the sale price!
My sale price was 25 cents for two!
 Wow!
So, I tried it,
and,
it worked!!!
Here are the results!

 The tutorial worked!!!!

Now, I plan to go looking at the
Dollar Store for better cups and mugs.
Oh, btw, I did
Handwash the mugs.
I haven't tried them in the dishwasher, but I will.
This could be fun.

What do these cowboy boots and me have in common?

They are featured on Pinterest.
Here's the link to see them.

What is Pinterest?

Pinterest is an online pinboard where you can share and organize things that you like!

I like these boots!

If you look on the right side of my blog, you will see two new buttons.

The first one is titled Pin It.
That means that if you see something you like on my blog or in my Etsy store, you can add your pin to Pinterest.  Just click on the button.  It's easy.

The other new button says,  "Follow me on Pinterest."  If you follow me, I'll follow you, and we can see the pins.  I  might repin some of your pins, and you might repin some of my pins, but either way, we will develop beautiful boards where we can show our favorite items from blogs, websites, or from Pinterest.

Now, how fun is that?  I have to sort of admit, I've gotten a bit, shall we say, addicted to Pinterest?  I suggest you check it out.  You might become, shall we say, addicted to Pinterest, too.
