Pom Poms! Yes, you heard that correctly, Pom Poms and they are fun.
This pile of pom poms started out to be a garland for Christmas, however, there was change. With a little twisting and turning, these pom poms, when attached to the crocheted cord became, and are you ready for this? They became a scarf!
This was fun to wear at the GSR fine art show today. Now, I'm going to make this scarf again, in different colors and make scarves for my Etsy store.
I was sitting under a vent, and it was a bit cool. When I put my scarf on, it was nice and warm.
The scarf is full of drama and fun! How you drape the scarf distributes the pom poms and each drape gives you a different look. Fun!
You can make these pom poms in any color or color combination that you like.
Pom poms are easy to make.
Isn't this fun?
Garland or scarf? You get to decide.
Look for this soon in my Etsy store.

Updates in my Etsy Store!
Yes, this is a commercial, but I think it's one you might enjoy!
I've added some things to my Etsy store!
I've started to make headpins again. I thought I'd try for a bit of humor to lighten up the end of winter.
How about some bacon and eggs?
This really looks great to me!
What would you do with these? I'm thinking charms or earrings.
If you're thinking of going on vacation to a theme park or two,
how about some mouse ears?
These even have roses on them!
For my lampworking friends, I have a lot of new shards including these.
These flower buds are my favorites! You can check them out in my store.
I have a new section in my shop called Earring Pairs.
Check it out!
I love these discs!
The frit I used reminds me of a verdigris patina on metal!
These are OOAK!
Okay, the tour is over! Hope your day brings you much joy and happiness!

For the Love of Color or I'm sick of white, gray, and snow!
It doesn't matter that it's March.
It doesn't matter that we are only a few days away from spring.
It's still cold.
We still have a lot of snow.
I'm so ready for spring!
The result is that I have been making beads that are bright and colorful.
I have no beautiful outdoor scenes to shoot that show flowers and color and green
The only flowers I have right now are these.
When I made these flowers,
I wasn't sure that red and purple would go together.
Amazingly,
they did!
More than that, the colors were
perfect for each other! I love these flowers!
These flowers brighten up my day!
I started making my funky, wonky discs again.
Look at the colors in these discs!
They brighten up any room.
Think of what they'd do to jewelry!
I can see earrings looking great made from these.
Are these orange pod head pins bright or what?
I used to be a person who hated orange.
Now, I love it, and I find that I have so many pieces of clothing made in orange.
I've read that when it comes to orange, a person either hates it or loves it.
I truly love it now!
So, what do you think of orange?
Do you love it or hate it?
Do you have color in your life now or are you like me,
sick of snow, white, gray, and winter?
What's your favorite color?

Finally! New to My Etsy Store, and There's Spring in the Air!
At last,
I've finally got my stuff together,
and
I've added some new items to my Etsy store.
Take a peek!
I love this key! It's so pretty. I used a silver enriched glass for the bead, and, yes, the bead slides up and down the key!
I call them Bumpsters! I love these little, dotted beads. They remind me of early spring!
These rich, jewel toned Bumpsters remind me of spring that is ready to ripen into summer!
These head pins/bead pins/ pod pins are my absolute favorite!
I can see these pod pins making some gorgeous wearings or as danglies in a necklace or bracelet!
These head pins/bead pins/pod pins are ready for summer! Remember summer? I know it's been a long winter, but what a magnificent way to brighten up your day!
Last, but not least, is Tweet! He's the first bird of spring! Oh, and that isn't bird poop coming out of his butt. It's just the string I used to tie this mini set together. Wouldn't this make a great, funky pendant for spring?
Well, that's all for now. I just need color! These beads have helped me!
Enjoy!

Well, here's a plug for my Etsy Store. At last, there are some new items listed!
This is a new charm.
HOPE
my mantra for 2011.
Now, these are really fun!
I made some earrings from these bright buttons!
I used sterling for the wires.
How fun to wear as we get ready to bring on spring!
and you can find the earrings.

Know what kind of ring this is?
I call it a fidget ring.
When you get nervous,
you can turn the bead on the ring.
Everything is secure on the ring,
but the bead turns.
It helps take care of that nervous energy.
You can find it here.
Oh, but don't try to wear gloves with it.
They won't fit.
you have to know that spring isn't far away.
Aren't they pretty beads?
I love them.
You can find them here.
Well, thanks for looking.
Things are settling down now,
so I hope to be adding more to my store.
Remember,
We are headed towards spring!

What's new? I have some new items in my Etsy store.
I've added some new things to my Etsy store.
I thought you might like to see them.
I'm trying to brighten up the look of my Etsy store,
and, I think, you need sunglasses for this set!
Wow!
These beads are bright!
These Leaf Headpins have a much softer glow, but they do glow.
I used dichroic glass to make them.
The leaves have a shimmer to them.
Wouldn't these look great in your next project?
I've been doing some metal smithing, too.
Here, in this piece, I combined both copper wire and my handmade lampwork beads.
This clasp and connector link will add a sweet touch to your favorite project.
You can find it here.
Back to brights.
These say, "I'm ready for spring!"
Put on your sunglasses!
This mushroom and spacer set is bright!
Take a peek at my store,
but be sure to wear your sunglasses!
You won't be sorry!

Now, with the Xmas Rush Underway, Let's take a look at my Etsy store

Black Friday is quickly approaching!
It's so much easier to shop from the comfort of home than it is to go to the Mall,
Fight the Crowds,
Wait to pay,
Glare at the person who took the parking spot you wanted,
Slip on the Ice,
Fight the snow,
Realize, you forgot your checkbook at home,
So,
do you feel your stress levels rising?
I do.
That's why this year, I'm shopping on line as much as I can.
Since you are reading this,
You might want to look at my Etsy store.
I do have jewelry!
This piece was made with repurposed beads.
Fun to do and fun to wear!
Isn't this little turtle sweet?
He needs a new forever home.
He's in my store now,
and he's willing to live with you.
He's quiet as a mouse!
Now these snowbirds are so noisy!
They make so much noise!
They didn't want to migrate with the other snow birds,
so they are in my shop
chirp, chirp, chirping away.
Don't you need a snow bird?
This is the perfect gift.
Have a heart!
It's a beautiful, organic heart for the love of your life!
You can find it here.
See how easy on line shopping is.
Now, tell the truth.
How man of you shopped in your jammies?
I wrote this in my jammies, but don't tell!
Hope to see you soon in my shop!

Red, Ivory, Green
I do tend to get "stuck" on shapes, colors, and types of beads when I "torch."
Lately, it's been red, ivory, and green.
Red and green are for obvious reasons.
Re and Ivory,
well,
I just love those colors together!

Re and Ivory,

Here's an organic heart I made using red and ivory.
I added a little silver leaf.
Nummy colors and textures!

How could I write this post without including headpins?
These are headpins that are ready for the holidays!
Christmas is coming!

I love this bead!
I love the colors and the murrini.
I am normally murrini applying impaired,
but, this time,
it worked!
You can find some of my murrini here.

These beads are mini spacers.
They seem to be ready for Christmas, but,
I think someone could use them any time of the year.
Last, but not least, here's the dragonfly bead!
I love, love, love this one!
I've been working on dragonflies for over a year now.
I am finally PLEASED with this one!
Now, I have a question for you.
When working on a technique for a bead or a piece of jewelry or whatever,
what is the longest time you have worked on a technique to develop it and be happy
with the results?
I'm anxious to hear your answers!

Random/Random
When I was a teacher and attended the mandatory workshops, we were always given tests on learning styles to make us more aware of the need to teach to the student rather than to the test. When I was tested, I always tested Random/Random. What did that mean? I'm very creative, but I have to make changes to keep from getting bored. You know that kid that daydreams a lot? Yes, it's me! Random/Random.
Here's what I've been making.
Angels
---------------------------------->
Assorted beads
---------------------------------->
Different styles of hollows
--------------------------------->
Cabs
--------------------------------->
Now how fun is that! Random/Random
I sure learn a lot with that learning style! It's fun!

What's New in My Etsy Store
I'm my own Featured Artist Today! This should be fun!
I'm starting to think about Christmas already! It's September now, and Christmas is not that far away! Want to light a fire in your tree or give one for that Secret Santa gift? How about this ornament? I'm still offering free shipping, too! It's a great way to get started or complete your Christmas shopping!
I don't have a lot of jewelry in my store right now, but I do have this really cool bracelet. I made it with memory wire and some of my "thrift store" finds. I call this bracelet Chunkster! It would make a great gift or something just for you!
I am hoping to add more jewelry to my store in the next week!
How about an "Eye Pod" Bead? I learned to make these in Sarah Sally LaGrand's Class at the Bead and Button Show. These border on the humorous and weird. These "Eye Pods" are attention getters. I love them!
I do have other things in my Etsy store. Have a look! You won't be sorry! lol!

WoooHoooo! I'm now starting to carry VINTAJ products in my Etsy Store!
I'm absolutely thrilled to announce that I am now carrying VINTAJ products in my Etsy store.
I only have five products listed at this time, but more will follow as I take the photographs and list.
Here's what I have now.
This is the Queen Dragonfly. She's so pretty in my hand!
Isn't this Whimsical Fairy Sweet?
Everyone needs Bead Cones. These are a lovely filigree!
Right now, I only have two toggles in my store, but I will be adding more. This is the one I call Fancy.
This is the other toggle I have. I think it looks rustic. It's just a square toggle though.
I'm off. As I write this, it's really time for bed. Good night!

Self Promotion is a Good Thing, Too!
I've been listing a few more sculptural items in my Etsy Store. This is Pearl, and she's a fairly new listing. It's that time of the year! I think of the ocean and beaches. Who knows, you might really see a mermaid floating on the current!
People are telling me how much they love my little girls. I do, too, but I knew I had to get a guy in there. Here he is:
Check out the listing to see his cute, little tush!
I titled her:
I Carry You in My Heart.
Isn't she a dear? I really like this little girl a lot!
Well, that's about it right now. Check back next week for something new and exciting in my store. At least, I hope it's next week. It might be a bit longer. I hope not, but, we'll see!
