Each one is stuck on the mandrel.
I don't know why.
Sigh!

Just glue some smaller beads to the top to cover up the mandrel and use them as plant pokes! I made a whole set of round beads on some madrels, they all stuck, so I snipped off the ends and now they are sticking outta my ivy! :-)
ReplyDeleteFor some reason hearts are one of MY things that always seem to stick to the mandrel. I wonder why??!!! I believe in the power of vise grips... they work miracles. One thing I've done is to use vise grips in one hand and one of those "jar grip" rubbery disks that they sell for opening stubborn jars gripping the bead. Hoping they get less stubborn.
ReplyDeletemallory...soak them in coke-a-cola for a few hours...that usually helps loosen them... *trick of the trade*... :)
ReplyDeleteThey are very pretty. Anne has a good idea. Good thing you make your hearts so they would be right side up. I make mine upside down.
ReplyDeleteI had the mandrels mounted in a heavy duty vice, and I still couldn't get the beads off. :(

ReplyDeleteShame, they are pretty. You could try popping them in the freezer to shrink the metal, might work. If not, you could just pop them in a plant pot to look gorgeous :O)

You can also try putting them in the freezer for a couple of hours. Sometimes that does it too. Don't ya just hate it when they stick like that - ACK!
