Today is the day!!
I'm very excited to show you my sequintastic creations!
But first,
since this is not my first attempt at using sequins,
I have to show you this.
I made this when I had cataract surgery earlier this year.
I looked at the ugly eye patches from the hospital,
so,
I made this!
Here's a picture of me wearing my sequined eye patch!
The doctor even took my picture wearing my eye patch out of the hospital.
So, you can see I do take a different approach to using sequins.
What do my sock covered feet have to do with sequins?
No sequins on the socks.
Well, they are covered up now.
Here's how they looked when it was warmer!
They looked great with my sandals!!
See, you can use sequins in so many places!!!
I also make shrines out of tin boxes.
I only used one star sequin on the inside of this shrine,
but on the outside...
I used sequins to show the love of God for all of us!
I especially liked the angel sequins!
Here's a shrine I made to honor
the Mother of God.
On the inside, I used on sequin, but
on the outside
I used butterfly sequins to honor
Our Lady!
Now that you've seen how I've used sequins,
Check out these other bloggers and see how they've used their sequins.

OMG, your toe nails covered with sequins are too funny! And definitely very stylish.
ReplyDeleteSequin toenails and eye patch? That's the first for me. You really thought outside of the box, then inside the box, then outside the box again. Sparkle on.
ReplyDeleteYou tickled me with the tonail art! I remember your eyepatch, and how much I loved your creativity. The tin boxes are great, I'm going to remember that idea! Great job dear!
ReplyDeleteHi Mallory,
ReplyDeleteI remember your eye patch and I thought then as now how creative it is and a converstion starter. Love the toes awesome idea!
The tin box shrines are a great idea. Beautiful work.
Therese
Wow, the toenails are the best, and I love the little shrines! I imagine even Jesus appreciates a little bling from time to time!
ReplyDeleteLove the sequined toes! Love the dog too. Do you follow http://www.facebook.com/pages/Galgos-del-Sol/175718192447988
ReplyDeleteLove the ey patch!! How original and the toes!!! fabulous
ReplyDeleteI love the eye patch, and the sequin pedicure is so much fun! Makes me want to run right out and get some nail polish so I can play.
ReplyDeleteThe tins are such a great idea, too. My local creative reuse store has a bunch of old Altoid mint containers, and they'd be perfect for a project like that.
Thanks for participating! Your projects added a lot of fun and variety to the hop. I might hold another one in April, and you're welcome to join. :)
Your sequined toes really made me grin like a goober. How CUTE!!
ReplyDeleteAnd your shrines are really such a great idea. I've got a bunch of those tins too and am always looking for fun ideas. Nicely done!!
You are absolutely hilarious! I love your sense of humor.
ReplyDeleteGot such a good chuckle from your post, thanks for brightening my day. I going to keep that eye patch adornment in mind!
ReplyDeleteYes Yes Yes... Nail art =) I so dig that. I wish I would have had a patch like that when I had my cataract surgeries.... & you are right, those eye patches they give you are huge and U G L Y.
ReplyDeleteLove your shrines too. Very beautiful.
Fun and creative ways of using sequins! That eye patch was so original and cool. The butterfly cover on the second shrine is very pretty in all its simplicity. Great job!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! I love the eyepatch and your toes! Your shrines are lovely!
ReplyDeleteOkay, you definitely win the originality award! Whole new meanings to the term 'wearable art'!
ReplyDeleteFinally got here Mallory, LOL, your toes are great!
