She's Home Again!

Walter was planning his capture of her.
He schemed and schemed!
Then he made his move.

And Pixie was trapped.
She was his pillow!
She had no choice.

 Then, we came home.
She's so tired.
It was stressful!
She just needs her rest!
She's happy now.
Those kitties boss her around so much.
Now, she can sleep.

We're Home!

The weekend was so much fun!  Even though we arrived late, and Nick was trying to move, we had fun!  We went to the improv 2 times!  We hit the Myth Busters exhibit at the Science Museum.  Well, I could write a book, we had so much fun!  Now, we're back.  The kitties were so tired that they ignored me.  They love Jenny!  I'll be picking up Pixie Marie soon.  It's good to be home!!!  Photos to follow later!  Then it's back to beads!

The Story of a Kinda', Sorta'. Type of Friendship

It started like this one sleepy morning.

After I got up, Walter was resting on the end of the bed.

Pixie decided that she wanted to share the bed with Walter, so Walter rolled over on her.

Pixie did the polite thing, then, and sniffed Walter's butt when he moved  over again.

Then they both decided to move to the head of the bed, instead of the foot.  Pixie got comfortable and rested her feet on Walter.

Walter decided that Pixie was way too comfortable, so he rolled over on Pixie's back legs.

Then, because Walter felt that Pixie was  way too comfortable, and he wasn't, Walter rolled on his back on top of Pixie's legs.

Walter rolled over again, until he was very comfortable, and Pixie was getting sleepy.

All's well that ends well.  They both had a great nap.  Guess what?  I didn't!
This is a true story.
Some people have said that it never happened, but it did.
This is a kinda', sorta', special  type of friendship.

The Experiment Continues

The Experiment began last when I came to see my daughter who was just diagnosed with cancer. The equation was:

Walter
------------------------------------>

Plus

Marvin
------------------------------------->

Plus

Pixie Marie
------------------------------------->

We didn't know the result of the equation, but here's what's happened in a week.

Although not great friends, Walter has accepted Pixie as a nap mate. Pixie still hogs the bed she and I share. Marvin, although he hisses at Pixie, is curious about her.

Not bad for a week, is it?

Equals

What? We aren't sure, but we're going to find out. I'm taking Pixie to visit Jenny in her condo. We are staying overnight. At my house, there's a lot more space. They get along in that space, but in a smaller space? We're not sure. We shall see what happens. We'll report more next week.

What do you think?

When Mom Goes to Visit Jenny

Marvin had low expectations of my visit.
He made it clear that it was far more important for him to groom himself
than to purr for the camera.
Walter, who learned to open cabinet doors on this visit,
chose to ignore the
new human in his life.
He also waited for Marvin to groom him.

Jenny no longer gives her mother a chin or an elbow.
As an adult, she merely sticks out her tongue.
Such is the wonder of children and grandcats!
So. until the next visit.
Back at you!
Truly, I love them dearly!
