Tomorrow is the First Day of October in 2013

Why is this important?
One of the most important reasons is that
October
is
Breast Cancer Awareness
Month.

Ladies,
we have to take care of ourselves.
If we don't take care of ourselves,
who will.

Be sure to
check your boobies
and
if you are 40+
schedule your annual
mammogram.

Now, how do we serve as reminders to each other?
Make this resolution with me.
I resolve,
on each day of October,
to wear or use something pink.
I'll be posting ideas
starting
tomorrow.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  Do just sit there, take care of those boobies!

What can you do?

1) Monthly self checks are extremely important.
Breast cancer can happen at any age and to both women and men!

HERE is a great link regarding self exams and the subject of breast cancer.

2) Mammograms!

Yes, I know they hurt!  Ouch!  And who likes to think of their boobies being flattened to the height of a pancake.  Well, just put on your big girl panties and do it!

3) Go in for your annual physical.  Okay, it's not fun, but it is one of those necessities of life.  Just do it.

4) Spread the word.  Remind your family and friends to check their boobies and get a mammogram.  This is so important!  You can fight this cancer!

5)  Take care of yourself.   You are the only you we have.
