1) A light went out yesterday, when my dear friend and neighbor died, however, a light went on in heaven when Betty left this earth! What a wonderful experience to have been her friend for 20 years! She was a great neighbor and a loving, kind friend! We're going to miss you, Betty! In your 99 years you saw a lot of life, and your life was good. I already miss you, but I know this was for the best! One day, my dear friend, we'll meet again! I look forward to that day!
2) Summer returned with a vengeance today. It's so Hot and Humid, but I must be patient. Even though the cidadas and tomatoes love this heat, I don't. I need to remember that soon, the weather will be cooling off, and in a couple of months the snow will fall. I'd rather be hot remembering last winter. I think these hot and humid summer days are beautiful things! :)
3) I love my generous friends. Gardens are beginning to mature, and I have been given some huge, gorgeous tomatoes! Oh, I dearly love those gifts from the garden! Don't I have wonderful friends?

Mallory, I'm so sorry to hear that your neighbor friend, Betty, passed away. Loss is always difficult. May you be comforted by sweet memories of your friendship with Betty, and by the knowledge that she has gone home to a loving God.
