!) It wasn't a bad week! It was fun!
I made this my profile picture on Facebook. You can follow me HERE, if you like! I thought that this would be fun to use!!! Is it bright enough for you?
2) Lunch with friends is always fun! Terry and I sat and talked and talked and talked! I always love these types of get togethers!
3) The weather was beautiful yesterday. It was the perfect summer day. The humidity was low. The temperatures were perfect. Other than getting stung by mosquitoes as I mowed the lawn, the day was an overwhelming success!!!

1) What a fun time I had at the Bead and Button Show In Milwaukee. There was so much to do! There were so many beads to see! There were so many people to meet! Wow! It was fun, but exhausting.
2) As I was walking outside just now, I took two big jumps. One happened as a cotton tail rabbit ran past me in one direction and the other as a chipmunk ran towards me. I got some unexpected exercise outside, and it was fun!
3) I was able to spend a couple of days with Jenny on each side of my trip. I enjoyed our time together. She had her tests that mark one year since her stem cell transplant. It's hard to believe that it's been a year! It is a beautiful thing!

1) Oh, the cleaning bug hit this week. I have a huge garbage can full of junk and a trunk load full of items for the local thrift store. Wow! Does this feel good! There's still a lot to go, but this feels good!
2) I had lunch with my dear friend, Sister Alene this week! It was so good to see her again. We always have fun, and the food is always very, very good. This time we ate at Olive Garden. Delicious!!!
3) We are getting the rain we have so desperately needed again. The days are still warm, and the nights are cool. I love this time of year as nature ripens and the rains come. What a good week it's been!!!

1) I couldn't figure out why I hadn't been sleeping very well, until I looked out yesterday morning to see a full moon! Now, the moon will begin to wane and I'll be able to sleep again!
2) The weather has been great! The temperature has been incredibly warm for this time of year. We are, however, at the weather extremes of the year. Sunday it snowed. The driving was terrible. Wednesday, our high was 65. go figure!
3) Pixie got a new Thunder Shirt yesterday. She also got to go to her favorite place in the whole wide world-Pet Expo. All her friends are there, and they love and spoil her whenever we visit. She was happy and content the rest of the day! She was also very tired!

1) I finally felt good enough to drive home this week. It feels good to be home and sleeping in my own bed again!
2) Even though it was a rough week, I survived the week in bed. I was worked into a doctor appointment, and I feel much better as a result of his treatment. He gave me the jumpstart I needed to head towards healing.
3) I torched for the first time in 3 weeks last night. It sure felt good! The beads weren't the greatest, but they were beads!

1) This has been a very rough week! Jenny has been in the hospital since last Sunday with pneumonia and an intestinal bacteria that she picked up in the hospital. Finding the beauty in this week has been difficult, but there are things.
Even though Jenny's white count plunged into the dangerous range, with a single shot, the doctor's were able to raise her white count to a higher level that was no longer life threatening. Whew!
2) Barring a set back, if Jenny feels good today and her labs are still good, she will be able to come home today. I know two kitties who are going to be very excited to see their "Mom," that is, after they ignore her for a bit to show her that she shouldn't leave them in my care for any length of time.
3) During this crisis, Jenny, Nick and I received phenomenal support from our online families! What a treasure these people are. Some of them we've never met, others we know, some we've met in passing, but they are still our family, and we are so grateful to know them and have them in our lives.

1) No complaints here about the weather! It looks like we'll have a "brown" Christmas this year. That's okay. I still remember last year. We had already surpassed our average snowfall for the year by December of 2010. On Christmas Day, our high will be in the 40's! For this time of year, that is amazing!
2) I went to the mall for the first time yesterday. It was so nice to do most of my shopping on line. I really didn't have much to do, but, with the exception of one item, the rest was done online! Yahoooo for the internet!
3) Nick is on his way home for the holidays. I'm still not sure if Jenny will be home today or tomorrow. I'm just so happy that we can all be home, together, for Christmas!!! The traveling weather will be good. We are truly blessed!

Three Beautiful Things This Week and Day 7 of the Virtual Craft Show!
Three Beautiful Things This Week was inspired by a wonderful blog that Clare writes called Three Beautiful Things. Everyday, Clare writes about 3 Beautiful Things that happen each day in her life. It's a wonderful blog! I can only hope to imitate her in a very small way.
1) It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! This is my early Christmas present to me! I've wanted Fiesta Ware for years, so I saved and it was on sale, and now, I own some Fiesta Ware--American Made!
2) Things are beginning to get REALLY busy. The season is upon us! I look forward to the business. I look forward to the crankiness. I look forward to the ultimate gift of peace given to us at Christmas!
3) The house is looking more and more like Christmas. The tree went up on Thanksgiving night! It's even been turned on since then. Some of the decorations from last year are still up, so there isn't much more to do except to listen to Christmas carols, soak the gummy bears in vodka, and get ready for the holidaze!

1) The predicted snow didn't happen! I think that is one really beautiful thing this week! That can go on for a long time, I think!!!
2) I had lunch with two great friends on Wednesday! We had a good time. It was great to catch up! I overindulged in a gluten feast, but, it was worth the pain and discomfort later! I hadn't feasted on bread like that in a very long time!!! Oh my aching belly now she said with a great big smile on her face!
3) I'm making real progress in turning my craft room back into a bedroom for Nick when he comes home for Thanksgiving! It's really challenging when you don't need to clean it up each time you the room to remember where you had everything stored when you last needed to clean up! Does that make sense? However, he does need a bed where he can sleep comfortably. I've achieved that goal. There's only a bit left to put away now. Yipeee!

1) Jenny is starting to feel better. The shingles have been a very painful condition for her. I'm sorry for that, but, as usual, Jenny shows her strength as she endures this side effect disease. She's on the road to recovery, and that is great!
2) I took Stephanie Lee's online class about bookmaking. What is so interesting is that she uses plaster for pages. I haven't had a chance to order my plaster, but I did today! I'm really looking forward to making my books. I am working on the covers, so that when the plaster comes in, I can put my book together. Stay tuned for blogs about the bookmaking!
3) Deer hunting begins this weekend. I made the chile and I'm taking it to the hunt tomorrow. I hope they enjoy it! I think they will, though.

1) Well, it's not as perfect as we would like, but Jenny's cancer has stabilized. Her MSpike is .2. That means that 99.8 % of her body does not have any cancer in it. That is a blessing!
2) The third printer works like a charm! I've taken back two printers because they didn't work. I've decided to be assertive when it comes to technology. I'm not sorry I took back the other two printers! This one does work! So far!
3) The work for the show is done. I'm ready to go! That is another blessing! I can breathe again instead of stress! Life is full of little blessings!

1) It's unbelievable, but I had the air conditioning running for 4 days this week! It was so warm, that I had to turn it on! We've had a beautiful Indian Summer! I know that fall is around the corner, but you just can't beat the weather we've had so far!
2) Jenny and I had a great visit last weekend! We did a lot of fun things. I truly enjoyed her visit!
3) Pixie is feeling much better! She's being naughty again trying to steal my food and hog the bed and couch! Looks like things are getting back to normal! Whew! All in all, it's been a good week!

1) The race for a cure for multiple myeloma was a success Nick was the 6th highest fund raiser at the race bringing in more than $2000 for research for multiple meyloma. Thanks to all who donated to the cause!
2) Jenny, Nick and I had a great time this weekend. It was so good to be together as a family again! Pixie enjoyed her time with Jenny's kitties. Walter fell in love with Pixie again. All in all, it was a great weekend!
3) Summer is slowly fading into autumn. The trees are beginning to change color and loose their leaves. Slowly, but surely, we will join the trees in dormancy as winter overcomes fall, but for now, we have the beauty of autumn.
