So the Soap Really is Setting Up!!!

It's in the oven and curing.
Yes, the oven is turned off, but it was turned on for a bit.

As I write this, the soap is hardening.
Tomorrow, I will take it out of the molds and slice the soap.
Then, it will sit for 2-4 weeks to finish the
curing process.
I can hardly wait!

So, tomorrow or Friday, I am going to make sure that I am home for, at least 2.5 hours.
I will be making soap in an old crock pot.
When you make soap in a crock pot, the soap is ready to use in
1-2 days.
I can hardly wait!!!!

I love making soap - but changed over to beads about 6 years ago. Have you checked out "Soap Making Essentials"? It's a great web site that gives all kinds of information - free. http://www.soap-making-essentials.com/
I must confess to being biased - it's my daughter's site!

Mallory - This is really cool. I used to make it this way and loved it. I did it for Christmas gifts and to use. It's great! Be sure NOT to use it until the allotted time is up because the lye is too strong and needs to finish curing so it doesn't burn your skin. Make more! Lots of different kinds.

Celeste, I just googled how to make soap, and many, many links showed up, which, of course, lead you to other links...
