We're not supposed to get much snow--an inch to an inch and a half, but we are supposed to get strong winds to go with the snow. That's why we have a blizzard warning.
As I write this, the snow has started to fall and the winds are picking up.
I have food.
I have good reading materials.
I have lots of glass to melt. (If it's not too cold, I'll do some melting during the storm.)
I have to charge up my computer, Ipad and Iphone. Okay I can do that.
Warm blankets on the bed.
Will I even change out of my jammies tomorrow. (Yes, I'm writing this yesterday. The photo is one I took during our last storm.)
Pixie has food and treats.
We're ready for our day.
I know I'll enjoy my lazy day. I hope you enjoy yours!

Three Beautiful Things This Week
The Three Beautiful Things This Week is a result of a wonderful blog by Clare called Three Beautiful Things. Everyday, Clare writes about 3 Beautiful Things that happen each day in her life. It's a wonderful blog! I can only hope to imitate her in a very small way.
1) The weather turned very cold again, and Pixie made me smile and laugh. Rather than wait for me to find her coat, she snuggled under the blankets to keep warm.
2) I experienced, first hand, the power of Nature on the day we had a blizzard. Only 2 inches of snow had fallen, but the winds were fierce. Highways were closed all around us, and I experienced a "white out" as I drove down a residential street. The sun was shining, but below where the winds were raging, we couldn't see to drive.
3) I reconnected with two dear friends whom I have missed terribly this week. They both were gone, but now, we are united again as women and as friends.

The Big Storm
The storm hit night before last. These pictures were taken yesterday as the storm began and raged through Minnesota in varying degrees of intensity.
The storm began to intensify at night. I used the night setting on my camera. This setting highlighted the snow as it fell.
At 7 AM yesterday morning, the snow was still falling. I think we had over 8 inches of snow by morning.
This is my front door. I have to shovel tomorrow so I can open it again..
The snow finally quit falling. The winds were still blowing, but, for the most part, the storm was over.
