My Life

My
Life
Right
Now

The
Way
Hope
My
Life
Will
Become!

Or do I?

Which journey do you think would be more interesting?

If Yarn were my life,
I think the tangled way
would
be
Much
More
Interesting.

Not always fun,
but
Much
More
Interesting.

Which way would you choose?

First things first, ignore the old, ugly, sagging neck

I learned a trick for keeping warm from my California friends.  Eileen said, "Wear a scarf in the house.  It will keep you warm."  You know what, it did!!!

Since we are looking at some sub zero temps coming up next week where our highs might get up to zero, and that's not sure yet, I decided that I needed to make some scarves to wear.

I made this one last night.  I found the pattern
HERE.  It's easy and very quick to make.

Well, this led me to peruse the internet for other crocheted scarf patterns.  I'm all thumbs when it comes to knitting.   I was told once when I thought I was knitting that I was "crocheting with knitting needles!"  Go figure.

Anyway, here's a photo from my treasure hunt today.

I can hardly wait to get started!
I'm going to make a cowl or two.  I'll show these later.
And, if you're interested in getting some snippets of my yarns,

Here's a sample of my snippets!
More later!!!!

New In My Etsy Store

More about this later, but I'm venturing into the world of metals. I plan to keep lampworking, too, but I think I've found a new love! I am taking online classes (later blogs) that are helping me with this new love task.
You can find this pendant here.

I'm slowly but surely restocking my headpins. They were a big hit at the show last weekend.
I hope to add more soon.
These are called Poker Face. Don't ask why. They just are.

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I cleaned out my closet today, and
I found this bag of unused recycled braided sari yarn, 100% silk. I bought it a while back with full intentions to use it, but now, I can't remember why!
So, I listed it in my Etsy store! I have way too much and plenty to share!

How about some new murrini? They are so relaxing for me to make! I almost go
zen with murrini. I guess that's why I have so much here.
You can find this, newly listed, in my Etsy store.

These floral headpins were so much fun to make! I love poking glass and moving it around. I used dark annealed wire to make these headpins! They'd look great on earrings or a pendant.

That's all for now. Stay tuned for more!

A New Etsy Store - Fibre Towne

Maggie is a lampwork bead artist, and now she is a spinner of yarn. Maggie took up spinning about a year ago. She started with a spindle and now has graduated to a wheel. Look at this yarn! She has gorgeous yarns in her Etsy store Fibre Towne.

It's called Autumn Vineyard Homespun yarn. This is a worsted weight yarn and it is gorgeous! Maggie knows her yarn. I didn't realize that there was so much to know.

Look at this nummy yarn! Maggie has titled it Cherry Twist Experiment Homespun. Beautiful! You can find it here.

Have you ever seen wool in its natural state? Here's a sample from Maggie's store. Even without the dye, it is beautiful!!!! It's called, appropriately, Au Naturel. The title fits. Don't you just love it?

Even though there are many other beautiful yarns in Maggie's shop, this is one of my favorites. Maggie has called it: Spooky Experiment. Isn't this a fun yarn? Maggie calls this yarn an experiment in plying. Like I said, she knows her yarn.

Don't waste your time, get over to Fibre Towne. Take a look at all of those great yarns!
