Look What I Found at the Hardware Store!

The local hardware stores in town continue to amaze me with so many great tools for making lampwork beads. This is my latest find. You can find it in the paint department. It was called a flow chart for colors of paint. On this chart you have both the warm and cool colors in this palette. You also have colors that go together. Isn't that great, and it's all on one piece of paper.

So, I made some twisties. This idea continues to amaze me.

Here's another flow chart that I picked up.

Here are the twisties that I made using this flow chart.

Amazing, isn't it, what you can find and use in your creative challenges. I'm going back tomorrow to get more inspiration and coloration.

Those are fabulous Mallory!
And will you just look at your twisties - how even & straight are they! Great colours too.

(& of course I couldn't find any of those charts here....stoopid store tried to sell me a colour wheel *insert eye roll here*)

OH COOL! What a great idea :D Tonight is my first night back on the torch in almost 3 weeks. After I catch up on my orders, I'm going to try this out....I LOVE making twisties!

Oh, man, I have to avoid the paint swatches. I could spend half a day looking, and I don't even have anything to paint, LOL. These new swatches with all the complementary colors are too cool. I like how you used them for twistie color ideas.

P.S. James and Kate inherited the paint swatch liking gene from me, too. Ever since they were toddlers, they have to stop in front of all the swatches when we are in Lowe's.

I love doing this - I do it all the time. It's a great way to work up those color combos. You don't have to go as gray as the paint chips can be and they still work out great. There's never enough twisties areound to use!

Deb, the next time I'm at the hardware store, I'll pick up what they have and send them to you. Don't be afraid to remind me to do that. You know how I tend to forget things!
