A Moment

The setting sun turned the sky above it red, orange, blue, purple, and yellow.  The colors pierced her heart like swords full of painful memories.  She didn’t mind being alone.  She liked that.  She hurt from the rejection, again. 
In only a moment, she knew. 

She remembered the acceptance of another place.  She was unique in a field of flowers that were the same.  There she was treasured for being unique.   The same person.  Different place. 

She smiled and thanked God for those memories.  Life would never be dull.  She laughed and ate her popcorn.
