Let's Have A Mother's Day Give Away!

A week from today is
Mother's Day!
Let's celebrate,
Not only Moms,
but
every woman or girl
that we know.

Here's the prize!

It's a hairpin
with a lampwork bead flower that I made.
All you have to do to enter is to
and tell me something about
that special lady or girl
in your life.
I also need a way to contact you,
so leave me that information, too

Since I will have DS home for Mother's Day,
I'll post a winner either
the
Monday or Tuesday after
Mother's Day.
If only one person comments,
you're the winner!

Sadly, my Mother past away 12 years ago. She was everything to me and I miss her terribly. Of course, I've gotten over her passing but never will forget her...

I have a few special women in my life....they are each special to me for different reasons. My dear friend Sue, is really special to me.......I call her my Buddha. When things get me down, Sue puts it all in perspective for me. I love her. Heather is a constant supporter of me and my work...I never see enough of her. And all my bead friends, including YOU, who I might only know via the web....they are special since they too support me...we support each other...real friends are hard to come by and I teasure them all

(((HUGS))), Linda. I feel your pain. Loosing a Mom is difficult, at best. My mother dies when my oldest was 5. That was 26 years ago. I still miss her.

I know what you mean about friends. We are so blessed to have them!

Hi Mallory. I'll play!

My special lady is my five year old...not quite qualified to be a Mother's Day contestant but this would look adorable in her hair!

I still think, gotta call mom and tell her about . . . every so often.

The special mom / woman in my life is my daughter Tess, she has two girls, one with Spina Bifida. In dealing with her life, working part time, helping her paraplegic daughter, assisting me with the care of our 89 year-old patriarch (my dad), and being moral support for each other, she never ceases to amaze me with her strength and resilience. My girl is such a wonderful woman. Even her exhusband still loves her and appreciates her more now than when they were married.

Sorry for the novel. But, daughter is amazing!!!

I am so lucky to still be able to call my mom every day or so. As much as I love it when my non-talkative father actually answers the phone, I feel cheated if I don't get to talk to my mom, too :)

I special lady is my mom. We talk all the time. She is a superwoman! She does it all and never complains. My mom is in great shape! She inspires me to eat right and exercise daily. She walks faster than me I have to jog to keep up with her! She is the mother of 3, grandmother of 8, and great-grandmother of 1. She makes time for all of us!
