My Table Top Garden

August is here! In a few short weeks, the children in our school district will be heading back to school. The weather will cool. Autumn will be here. For now, it's still beautiful outside. Spike is out laying by his tree, and I'm enjoying my time in my garage watching Spike enjoy his time outside.

When I planted my table top garden, I wasn't sure what to expect. We had such a cool spring, and, we have had such a cool summer. I think next year, I will wait to plant my garden until later. That's just part of the learning experience. I will use fewer plants in the table top. I will take more pictures to watch their growth. Here's my garden today. It's been planted since May. I've eaten quite a few cherry tomatoes. I just ate the last one today. I'm not sure how many more I'll find in my garden.

So far, no zuchinni or cucumbers, but I have two big tomatoes growing now.

The squash blossoms are beautiful, even though the one zucchini fell off the stem.

This is the biggest cucumber I have!

The herbs are doing just fine though!

All in all, it's been a good experiment!

It's looking great Mallory. There is nothing like picking your vegetables fresh from the garden. Yum!

Hi Mallory,

Do you like the table top planter? I looked at one of those and decided on the topsy turvey tomato planter instead - which I never put a tomato plant in! I think the garden looks good given the cool summer we've all had.

Cindy, I do like the table top planter. I think if we had had a warmer spring and summer, I would have had more veggies. The herbs are doing so well! I think I need to reduce the number of vines I have next year and hope for a warmer summer!

You must be so proud of your garden..especially after working with it since May! I thought about doing something similar..but never ever got around to it. Now it's already August! :-(

I like that planter a lot. I love my flower gardens, but I am thinking that planter is awesome. Of course, that could be because you have such wonderful things growing in it.
