Well, it happened, yesterday. Puxatony Phil, the most famous of ground hogs, saw his shadow. According to the followers of this famous mammal, that means 6 more weeks of winter. (Sigh!)
The only thing that comforts me is that Puxatony Phil is correct only 37% of the time.
I just went to the window and looked outside. Little tiny flakes of snow were still dusting the ground. The snow on the ground is now down to about 15 inches. I think the odds are in Puxatony's favor for being right about Minnesota. If we only have 6 more weeks of winter, we will be lucky!
