Three Beautiful Things This Week
Three Beautiful Things This Week was inspired by a wonderful blog that Clare writes called Three Beautiful Things. Everyday, Clare writes about 3 Beautiful Things that happen each day in her life. It's a wonderful blog! I can only hope to imitate her in a very small way.
1) I love finding small "treasures" that I put away so that I would know where they were then promptly forget where I put them. Later, I find these "treasures," and I am able to rejoice that I found them. This bead was one of the treasures that I found this week. I had put the box that contained this small treasure and others away. I honestly thought they were ugly. Now, I am looking at the beads with different eyes. They aren't ugly. They are beautiful! I am so happy to have found these beads! I often wonder, how many other, "small treasures" I will find when I clean out my special hiding places! I was thrilled!
2) A friend called me yesterday because she had been thinking about me. She called to say some very nice things to me about me. She said she felt that I needed lifting up. How right she was, it was just the lift I needed. I couldn't believe how wonderful it was to hear what she said to me about my bead making! My heart was soaring by the time we finished our conversation! Thank you!
3) Pixie has finally decided that in order to get an extra ear rub, she needs to go outside, not once, not twice, but five times in one morning! I watched her! The little sweetheart did her business the first two times, but the last three were just for show and to get those ear rubs that are her reward for being good! I thought it was sweet when she would come in and put her head on my thigh with her ears turned up for that ear rub. Of course, I knew she was faking, but she got her ear rubs anyway!!

That bead is beautiful! Did you make it?
How nice when someone pays you an unexpected compliment. I got one by email yesterday that is still making me smile!
And that story about Pixie reminds me of my dog Madison. If your hand or foot was lolling off the side of the couch, he would skootch right under it where he wanted to be scratched. And if you didn't move your hand he would move back and forth to get the scratching anyway. I had forgotten about that!
Thank you!
Enjoy the day, Mallory!
Erin
Hi, Erin, yes, I did make the bead. I had been told by someone that this entire set of beads were poorly made and ugly. Now looking at them with new eyes, I realized they are all gorgeous!
