1) Memories preserved.  How I miss these people!  I was born into a crazy, amazing family where I was loved so much!  Everyone should be so blessed!

2)  We are experiencing the "Winter Thaw."  Temperatures are climbing above the freezing mark.  This is so nice in January.  The best part, it happens every year!

3) There are deer tracks all over my front yard.  I wonder what they're finding there?

1) I don't send Christmas cards anymore, but I do appreciate the people who send me cards.  I especially love the photo cards! Thanks to all those from whom I have received cards!  Makes Christmas a little bit more special.

2) I was given a prescription for some powerful anti-inflamation medication.  My wrist feels much better, and I've only been on it a day and a half.

3) Two of my articles were posted on Catholic 365. com!  Very nice!

Three Beautiful Things This Week

1) The storm wasn't a big one, but it was enough to cover the ground and shovel.  That's okay.  We have a lot more winter to go.  It's just gotten started.  We are having January temperatures in November.  I forgot it was November.


2) The first of the two shows I do is today.  It's the kick off of Toys for Tots.  I'm looking forward to this event.  Wish me luck!


3) Pixie is still adjusting to the new carpeting.  That means that when we are not home, Pixie goes down to the basement.  She doesn't like it, but it's warm.  Pixie has her blanket and bed.  Pixie has a huge area in which to play.  She's fine.  She just wants her couch.  I guess we'll have to see about getting a couch for downstairs.  She will be happy if we do!

1) Almost ready for the show in a week!  Actually, I can hardly wait!  One of the great things about shows is that you get to meet so many interesting people!

2) Pixie was photobombed!  Isn't that cute?  I love the apps on my phone!  Pixie cuteness is fun!

3)  We had our first snow this week.  We were supposed to have a massive storm, but we ended up with less than an inch of snow.  I'm waiting for the "real" first snow, when there are huge snow flakes and, certainly, more than an inch. 
Wait!  Did I just say that???

We met in New Prague yesterday for our afternoon of lunch and shopping.

Now, how fun was that?

It was amazing!

2)  We have had a wonderful, warm week for this time of year.

3) The trees have been amazing this fall.  I don't know how or why this works, but they have been beautiful!

1) I just discovered Vegetarian Chicken Nuggets!  They are good and low in calories!  Not only that, they sort of taste good!  Not exactly like chicken, but not like cardboard either.

2) Do you like the cat's paw pendant?  I hope so.  I plan to make it into a gorgeous necklace soon!

3) It's going to cool down soon.  I'm ready for it!  It's time.

This is Day 3 of the 31 Day Writing Challenge.  

Today, I look at my week, and share with you 3 of the  Awesome
things that happened this week.  

1) Marvin, my dear daughter's cat shown in the photo, now considers me part of his "clowder."  (A clowder is a group of cats, a family, so to speak.)  He is now "talking" to me.  (I don't speak cat, but I try.)  He is also allowing me to scratch his back and rub his belly.  After all these years, I think that. is. AWESOME!

2) I'm working with polymer clay and making beads again.  I plan to make a bird, too!  The bird will be a sculpture similar to these birds:

They are made with polymer clay.  

I think they are 

Awesome!!!

3) Two rainy days in a row!!!!  I would say:: DOUBLE AWESOMENESS!

1) Beads are selling again, but not on Etsy.  Facebook is my source right now.  That feels good!


2) We've had a couple of very humid days, but, for the most part, the weather has been beautiful!  I wish these days would last forever, but the cycle of life goes on.  Weather changes because it has to change.  I guess I'm okay with that.


3) The Woman Cave has been in use now, and it's great!  I love the Woman Cave!

1) Today is National Lost Sock Day! The thought of a Lost Sock Day makes me smile!  I have a lot of lost socks!!!




2) The new group on Facebook is going well.  We are up to over 300 members now.  It's great to get to know all of these wonderful bead makers and buyers!


3) Another thing that makes me smile is that we have a huge blog hop tomorrow:  It's the Bead Soup Blog Hop!  Stay tuned!

1) Pixie was very upset with me after she had her teeth cleaned.  Her mouth hurt in spite of the pain pills, so, when I went upstairs to find her, she went downstairs.  I tried to lay down by her to pet her and she'd get up and leave.  It took until the next afternoon for her to forgive me.  I'm very grateful that she did forgive me, finally!!!  Poor baby girl!


2) I'm really happy!  My beads and jewelry are selling, not on Etsy, that's dead space, but on Facebook!  That's a wonderful feeling!


3) Supposedly, and I mean, supposedly, we are supposed to "warm up" this weekend.  I will be most grateful if we do.  I emphasize IF.

1)  We had one day of warm weather.  That was nice.  I wish we had more days like this.  The weatherman keeps saying, "Soon."

2) The programs are all stapled for these High Holy Days at church.  How do I know?  I stapled them!  That was fun.  It was busy.  It was good.

3) Tea soothes my soul any time. I love tea.

1) Yesterday, a day of rain.  Not freezing rain, just rain.  No snow, just rain.  I like that!

2) Yesterday, Pixie did a great job as a therapy dog.  She knows exactly where we go first and second.  She's a good dog.

3) It was warm enough yesterday to go into the garage and make soap!  That sure felt good!

1)  I'm very grateful to all those who have supported "Hearts for Jenny."  We've raised a little money to help her with her medical bills this month.  I'm grateful we had the chance to do this.


2) I'm grateful that my case of shingles has been very mild.  Getting on the medication immediately helped tremendously.  I am feeling good.


3) Yesterday, we hit 50 degrees!  AMAZING!

2) I only have 40 hearts left, after making close to 200 hearts,  due to the great support in the artist community. Thank you!

1)  I'm very pleased.  I now have over 100 "Hearts for Jenny" read to list.    It's been a lot or work, but if it will help Jenny with her medical bills, then it's been worth the work.  More on this Monday.  Hopefully some will be in my Esty store by then!  :)


2) Pixie and I had a great time doing our hospice work yesterday.  The patients we saw were alert and we had some great conversations!  I like these people!

3) I am clinging to the hope that we will see warmer temperatures soon.  Today at 1 PM our high was -8.  Brrrrrrrrrrrr! it was cold!

1) Valentine's Day again, and I am so blessed, so very, very blessed!

2) Breakfast with the retired teachers was fun, as usual.  Everyone seems to enjoy this monthly get together.

3) Pixie is glad to be home.  The kitties boss her around so much!  She's happy to have her own couch again!  Kitties can't tell her what to do here, except when they are here, but they aren't here now!

1) Pixie and I are back at our hospice work.  It's good to see the people again.  We did miss them!


2) Had a root canal done this week.  :(  Found I had excruciating pain that evening and the next morning.  Called the Dentist.  He put me on an antibiotic immediately.  All is well now.  I had an infection.  I have a good dentist.


3) Took my car in to a shop to have my battery checked.  I love this place.  They know me.  The would not cheat me.  I needed a new battery.  It was worth the time and money.  Thank you to the guys who helped me.

1) I feel blessed, that in spite of the bitter cold, that Pixie and I are warm.  I know that there are people who are suffering from the cold.


2) My ankle is healing!  I realized that I haven't taken any pain medication since Tuesday!  Yes!


3) The best news is that the vet confirmed that Pixie does NOT have kidney failure.  She has GERD.  She's on a medication for it.  Whew!
