According to Mexonline.com, the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo) commemorates the victory of the Mexican Army over the French Army at the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Did you know that? I didn't.
The Cinco de Mayo is also considered to be a regional celebration. Isn't that interesting?
Yet, here in America, it's a time to go out, drink Margaritas, and eat Mexican food. I know that I'll be eating Mexican food and lifting up a small glass of Margaritas today! Regional or not, I love Mexican food and strawberry Margaritas! Happy
Cinco de Mayo! ----------------------->
